Do I require an electrician to check on the house?
My house's tenant complained about the safety of the house regarding the illegal wirings by the previous tenant. About 6 months ago, the previous tenant hook up 3 fans on the wall in the basement The fans are not like the one you can buy from Walmart. It has a motor with 3 blades and wire it to an electric plug. It then connected to an extension core to the electric wall outlet. When the previous tenant moved out, my property management did not know about any of those DIY and the present tenant found out. I went there and removed all the fan and the wirings. Those DIY fan were just plugged into the electric socket via an extension cords. Even though I cleaned up everything, he still said he feels unsafe to live there and requires an licensed electrician to check it. Am I obligated to do that? Thanks in advance.
