In pharmacy as a salaried employee, working harder often just means longer hours.

Some companies make their employees pay out of pocket for marketing so they can undercut you at 5% b/c their split is higher.

Looking at a different industry some employee recruiters will sometimes get paid on a monthly basis or at milestones.

the phone is your friend in this instance.. and it can be hard in certain parts of the country like east coast.. where there are all these independent closing attorney 2 and 3 man shops.. unlike say west coast were we have national title companies with 30 employees in one office.. ounce of presentation will save you a lifetime of pain.. its worth it..

I tell my clients who are W2 employees this, "Is your boss ever going to give you a $100.00 pay raise per month?"
