It’s painful.There’s more leverage in numbers….sorry, but you as an individual investor come in with no leverage against operations this big but coming in with all the middlemen attached absolutely forces that leverage.Direct providers can’t help you strategy your portfolio.All of us middlemen support you, handle your issues, give you unbiased market advice, take the brunt of brutal customer service for you, offer you leverage, and stick around to be your emotional support animal if things go trippy.

It sucks and tenants try to play to your emotions.

Its their own home, they have an emotional bond to it and they don't deal with these things as often, so they kinda have a list in their head of dos and don'ts.  

I have no worries of her not paying rent because of her emotional attachment to the house, she would do anything and everything in her power to keep that house afloat if I somehow manage to screw it all up lol.

Leave emotions and other unmeasurable things out of it.

Just a slight twist on the emotional support animal (ESA) question.

Normally you would assume 2-3 year old stuff they wouldnt care but a hoarder might get emotional and take retributive action, so i see your point.

But what really takes a toll is, when things aren't going the way you had envisioned; when you're dealing with unforeseen issues that come up; stressful situations, projects taking longer, spinning too many plates, budgeting issues, family & personal things that come up, till your emotional bucket is running on empty.
