You'll have to expect a re-assessment after purchase/upgrades.

I actually built a spreadsheet a few years back that cobbles together the county, school district & township level millage rates for each town in the 4 surrounding counties to Philly then multiples those millages by the common level ratios of each county to show the annual taxes as a % of assessed value.

The energy will come as the plan is met and you can see real progress.

Sometimes once someone opens a project up and sees what all needs to be done they just want out as they realize they didn't correctly assess the repairs or as others stated, ran out of money or realize they will.We bought a "cheap" house and then discovered that the renovation was going to be much more extensive than we anticipated.

They are going to assess your numbers to make sure they make sense to them.
