I've lived in the San Diego Area for about 5 1/2 years and in my opinion there is not better place to become a Real Estate Investor.  

@Michael Songer I have a SFH in Redlands that is Rent by the room and I also have a duplex in San Diego that I am STRing the front.

I've done some preliminary research, but I can't find anything more recent than July 2022- has permitting been reinstated for San Bernardino County (specifically Joshua Tree)?

Now my question to all the investors in San Francisco and everywhere else is that with how the market is up there, would it still be wise for me to look for deals in the bay, and am I able to find good deals to house hack and get the first real experience as a landlord?
