After looking at my situation, and where I want to be in a few years, I am ready to take the plunge in one of two different ways.Option 1: Join with an experienced investor as a junior partner in an apartment deal.  

I'd tell her that I'm building 4 new houses, that I'm contributing > 50% of the capital, and that I'm looking for one more preferred equity investor to join.

This would give me the opportunity to represent clients if the opportunity presents itself, and give me access to the resources that come with joining the national, state, and local organizations.  

In order for us to join the HOA, we basically have to backpay several years worth of dues because the former owner chose not to be part of the HOA (approx. $8,000).  

I have just recently joined the RIREIG and it was the best decision.

I recently left active duty Army to join the reserves and go to school back in Michigan.  

Then, I studied to get the biggest Captain's license possible with Celestial Navigation and run crew and supply vessels and joined the MM&P Union where I worked on Oil Tankers.

I did a lot of lurking and started investing before joining too.
