Either others are doing it (in which case, you have your feasibility data) or nobody else is doing it (in which case, it's not as foolproof as you might think).

Performance ratios from finance and accounting don't show the same feasibility as they do with securities which are graded and can be viewed as "like investments" real estate is unique and no two properties are the same nor are they very often really that similar, unless they are very close together.

Also if they have elevated land you can set it up so that you've got a storage tank that supplies the house through the use of gravity (no worries about that power being out!
