Thank you. plumber here, septic systems concern me because they have a set shelf life on them. older systems vary between a 1 and two tank system to break down waste. under normal use a leech fields lifespan is roughly 30-50 years before the leech field clogs. ( tank 1 solids, tank 2 semi solids, tank 3 liquids) modern septic systems are 3 tank systems, and leech field is roughly the same lifespan.
