Also in Indiana, take a look at the NW corner, which are suburbs to Chicago but have the lower taxes and investor friendly environment of Indiana.

The influx of people into Houston is probably slower in this oil environment so there may be a market correction here and there, but I don't see a 2006 sized bubble being formed - just a shift back to "normal" prices due to lower buyer demand, even-ing the playing field between buyers and sellers.

The risk of losing may be lower but the bet is astronomically larger. 2) Statistically speaking, there are no "odds stacked in your favor here" because that statement assumes there is a controlled environment and essentially 1 variable, to place a bet or not (i.e. a casino table game with fixed rules).
