So your certification becomes meaningless over time if there is no requirement to maintain current in a certain field.Any professional certification requires a code of ethics, some expected conduct by members, really, have you read the forums?

I'm studying the material, but only to educate myself.After reading J Scott's book and chatting with other investors I've learned that having a license can (in some ways) hold you back as an investor since you are held to a certain moral code of conduct as a Realtor...so, I'm taking his approach to it.His wife got the license, and he stayed without one...at least for a while...I believe he has one now possibly :-)Also, which course are you taking?

Im curious to see how this regulation will be followed through, who is enforcing this regulation, and just the overall effectiveness of the law.They say the law is meant to prohibit “knowingly make any substantial misrepresentations, make any false promises, untruthfully advertise, or engage in any conduct which demonstrates bad faith, dishonesty, untrustworthiness, or incompetency.” but I'm struggling to see how this will be enforced if the majority of the transactions happen outside the public eye.I want to hear everyones thoughts on will this be successful.
