This place is also missing a lot of other basics like salt and pepper, sugar, soap, shampoo and conditioner, etc. but the plunger is the one thing that really caused problems.

It is not the interest rate that will usually kill the deal (quotes between 10-14%) as you mentioned this is a way for you to short term finance the deal, but its points you will pay on entry and exit of this short term loan product that will cause things to get VERY costly.

Also make sure to tell your insurance provider about any other damage that was caused as a result of the leak (flooring, baseboard, drywall, paint, etc).I've only filed 1 claim and it was on a roof, the cost to replace was around $10k.
