Was curious if anyone else took this approach or has any tips 

If anyone could give me any tips or ideas on where to find the very basic of basic information on getting into investing, building a portfolio and what i will need to start from literally nothing.

My intent is to target military people specifically who are a little higher rank, who possess a security clearance, and who are specifically here for a short term lease for school.

A friend is providing down payment for hard money, and wants to secure it with a note in 2nd position.

I'm doing my best to secure my portfolio for the years when financing is tougher and my balloon payments become due.Thank you in advance!
