Like, is there undue complications in filing and accounting and that makes it a pain? 

Our business pays for a crazy amount of our monthly expenses... cars, car insurance, health insurance, phone, internet, etc.

If it is a habitability issue like leaking sewage, you might be able to get the building inspector or health inspector involved but an unethical landlord might retailiate.
