I'm studying for my home inspector certification and know how to do some handyman stuff so putting in sweat equity wouldn't be a problem.

My inspector suggested I insulate the crawl space of the home as it is where the furnace is located; however, it is an older (but functional) unit that will eventually be moved to the attic once it dies.

The inspector wants me to remove the gravel and install either concrete or asphalt on the approach. that's approximately 450 sq. ft.the house is in garden city, next to livonia, westland, redford, canton, wayne and dearborn heights

i am wondering if anybody has a home inspector they would recommend in central new jersey area that can help me out on my first duplex purchase that is under attorney review now. 

Don't forget to hire a good experienced home inspector to go through the house! 

Any offer you put it make it contingent upon and inspection and get a structural engineer review it (not a home inspector) - note have a home inspector review the rest of the house as well

I had an inspection done, and the inspector told me that the staircase/balcony structure in the back needs to be fixed on more securely.
