There are MANY things that happened that led up to this situation, NONE of them illegal, because our elected representatives (state and federal corgress men and women) changed the laws that permitted the actions-including tax relief, sending jobs overseas, illegal immigration, and many others.

I like the tenant pool in the area (working class, many immigrants) which tend not to cause many headaches for landlords. 

Immigrants come here and through nothing more than perseverance and hard work become successful. 

I have only been in the USA for 4 years (emigrated from the UK), so I don't have too much capital or equity in my personal home, 401K or other investments  right now , but I want to find a way to get started in investing in real estate this year.I have access to up to $70,000 from my family in the UK.

Given the president's actions on immigration, I think that it's reasonable that he might apply the same logic ("Congress won't do anything about it, so I will") to the environment, now that you mention it. 

I know the UK market quite well, and it is viciously over priced. 

Hi,Since reading through this forum for the last few days, I have decided that I would like to invest in properties in good, safe working class areas, in the 50k-70k range.Being from the UK I think that starting with Turnkey properties would be best as it provides a more hands off solution, rather than buying somewhere that needs rehab as this would be very difficult to manage from the UK.When it comes to finance it seems that options are limited, ideally I would want to put as little down as possible so I guess I may need to be creative!

I even come from an immigrant culture that does this work as a matter of course.
