The flavor/complexion of Lompoc is not in sync with Santa Barbara County coastal communities.  

I will be looking into it for a possible purchase in Santa Barbara.   

@Barbara Riley - As a foreign investor, the best eyes I could have on the ground were my realtors, inspector, and contractor who went in to do some work on the place.

She's a financial advisor here in Santa Barbara.

I think my daughter would object based on how it's too much like Santa Barbara.....too many old, rich people

There's also potential for properties South of SR-78 (Pine Island Rd), East of Santa Barbara Blvd, and on the North Side of Veteran's Memorial Pkwy
