Land-lording makes even better sense.It's how I counseled my two kids...upon graduation from college, go to a coast and start your life because there are more and better opportunities for just about everything except agriculture.

Most people living in the front range are here because of jobs and business opportunities, or to be close to a large urban center, international airport etc. while those that move to Colorado for reasons more lifestyle-based and aren’t stuck in the front range due to their career or family or whatever usually prefer to live in the less crowded parts (crested butte, steamboat, Durango, western slope are all highly desirable among many others).

Anywhere within a few miles of the coast tend to be higher but once you get 5-10 miles inland the rates tend to normalize.
