It’s a great experience to have tried and missed meeting your goals — sit Down and write up some amended ones.

Hoping it becomes better, hoping I can repay some of the knowledge I obtained (and I did obtain a lot from here), hoping to learn more, just enough to make a living off of this without needing to become a real estate tycoon and have my own Monopoly piece...As for MMM - I started with his blog figuring out this whole idea of early retirement and real estate and passive income and such - but I also drive 60 miles everytime I want to go around town to check on some rehabs, meet a fellow investor for lunch or do a showing - and you want me to get rid of my car??? 

I much prefer a SEC 8 tenant in a sketchy neighborhood or street, because finding someone who both verifiable and reliable income that meets my incomes X rent requirement is tough, and one life bump will cause the rent to go unpaid.  

I am hoping to set up a some meetings this week and maybe look at some properties if any fit the bill.

Is it weird to meet w/ several before choosing one?

But you should at least attend some meetings and let them know you are a homeowner in the community and that you're interested in being an active participant.

You should visit all the meet ups we have here focused real estate investing, especially the one in little Havana!
