Hi everyone :)My jurisdiction sides with tenants, and forbid landlords from asking for any deposit except for last month's rent and a key deposit.

I currently have a 24% front and back end ratio ( I believe), no other debt except primary residence PITI.

Except as tenants will be given FORGIVENESS on past amounts due you wont.Please budget as if TAXES are going UP  they will.PS.

Well most of them say “....except Hawaii and Alaska”.

We are in contract (removed all contingency except loan and the loan should go through), and the deal was supposed to close in the 1st week of March.

You do NOT need more than 1 furnace for your triplex.The City of Kitchener is big on intensification and is allowing 3 units in almost all areas of Kitchener with the exception of being close to Conestoga college in the south end. 

Panic is setting in now for new investors and rightfully so, but when you commit to a deal, sign a contract, and the seller acts reasonably, it's on you to close the deal even in these circumstances in my opinion.

"Comps" simply are not available for rentals except in the form of "asking price".

Based on the facts and circumstances we know here I'd struggle to classify this as an investment asset.
