My brother did this several times when we started A Cut Above Siding in Portland, OR metro back in 1998, while building spec custom homes, he managed to sell a $ million in LP siding replacements, mainly in the evening, and on the weekends!

@Michael Noto I kinda wanted to stay away from large banks as I like the idea of being able to text/call my lender at any time without hearing from someone new... a little more customer service / personable.
