we're planning to do all the repairs. we can do mostly everything tile,carpet,wood floors, sheet rock,painting,plumbing,siding, roofing, and landscaping. we can also get everything at really good prices most of our friends and family work on construction. do we need city permits to do all the work?

I can't just do tile, because the floor is plywood and it is too expensive and time consuming to lay underlayment, etc.
