Make sure you have plenty of liability insurance and/or an umbrella policy to protect you from being sued.

Though I also have a Whole-Life and other insurance policies, we use both insurance AND investing in a mix that heavily favors investing. 

Consider buying in your own name and taking out an appropriately sized umbrella insurance policy ... no setup or maintenance fees or taxes.
