Its not fun, but we pull them up with pliers and put a flat head screw driver under them to push them up a little if we can not grab them with the pliers. 

Now the fun of figuring out how best to stick to our rehab budget begins! 

I've actually recently been trying to understand brain plasticity and epigenetic memory myself, but just for fun. 😉 I'm trying to work out a theory I have that links those things to the story of Christ's resurrection...
