I think most who live out in that area are ranch hands, plant workers and fisherman.  

With a long term solution go with tile, fake wood but a low maintenance cost should be considered. 

Think professionals who have a vested interest in the community and keeping their noses clean, or perhaps a foreman at a local plant who has had to put in 3-5 years working his way up from the bottom.No self-employed.

We can go with our best guess about how much it's been in the past but it doesn't give any guarantee about the future, especially in a market like Tulum.As to the financing, it could be great for you if it is legit but beware there are a lot of fake financing schemes.

Truely food costs are pennies on the dollar for anything other than meat, dairy and fresh fruits/ veg's ( which I am going to try a garden but I am afraid, I can even kill fake items lol.)
