Make it known that it is due to a special circumstance, the corona virus.If they come to you and express difficulty with meeting the rent payments, that is a better situation for you than if you pre-preemptively ask them (not sure how you are thinking of knowing when/if they get laid off).

I am now looking at a few other options too, including delaying the purchase given the current circumstances.

I don't know the landlord's personal financial situation except that they own multiple units.

Whether they find the “Cancel” link, the extenuating circumstances link, or just message support directly, I’m not sure.
