Colorful commentary, flippant statements, subjective opinions, and unsupported assertions are what seem to get people in trouble. 

Also, the off-white color of the cabinets clashed a bit with the white of the trim and ceilings.

@John Knisely As much as I see where you are coming from, gray is a very nice color and fits EVERYTHING but it has to LIGHT gray something like Benjamin More Owl Gray or Bunny Gray.

I have been doing real estate for twenty five years and about a year ago, I tried 5,000 postcards, professionally designed, full color, over sized and to a good mailing list.

It was pretty dark and dingy with a bug problem.

If you are painting, simply to change the look, color, theme, etc, it falls into the category, but if it is necessitated, because of structural damage (for example, from water damage, etc), it's a far different scenario!

When we went to look at house the basement was painted one color (sky blue) when we bought gr house and went to do final walk through I noticed there were dabs of dark blue paint all over the floors.

Also, if the property is in a historic district or register, that could significantly limit your options on (typically) exterior upgrade/design to things like the windows, trim replacement, paint color & scheme, etc.

As long as the island granite/quartz countertop blends well with an overall design, does it matter what color I get?

Below is the color for the interior that I am dying to do, so I’m having a hard time imagining anything to go with that.Is white a no-go?
