Please give me some advice so I can get my fiancé on board with this.

They and their Realtor tell me it's a $150k renovation job based on rolling the dice or throwing darts at a dart board, or whatever it is people do to come up with these whimsical numbers.

I work a 9-5 so trying to go visit properties could only be done on weekends when I have a full plate of kids activities.

First, I'd check your local municipal code and condo board for their rules to see if there are any restrictions on who/how many you can rent to and if the board needs to approve.

Ugly because the listing agent did not supply the documents and information we had requested in the inspection resolution, and when I called to ask for them and tell her we would not be closing until we had received them, she unleashed a torrent of venom on me, accusing me of being unethical, not acting in good faith, threatening to report me to the board, etc.In her defense, we had asked for them to be provided at closing, but it was an hour before, and she still had not provided them.

I would prioritize finding an accountant who specializes in real estate taxation over one that is local.There are 20+ accountants on this message board who specialize in real estate taxation.

I have a short goal of 4 years where I may want to sell the property/properties and help my kids with college, or I may not have to.So I ran the #s, by investing in the 5 properties after 4 years I would have made about $100K more than if I would have bought 1 house in cash.
