I'm 62 y/o and on disability, to me real estate investing would be the way for me to secure a reasonable lifestyle for my wife and I without taking years to accomplish. 

REI definitely gives you more freedom to do things you never thought you could accomplish from a 9-5 day job, good luck to you, you are in the right place.

Just wondering as It is something I would like to accomplish.

However, I think it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

I think its important to identify/understand what you want to accomplish with your investment. 

The only thing that accomplished was guaranteeing i was not going to enjoy my lunch. 

@Mike RobertsonActually, there just is no way to accomplish what you are looking at doing. 

@Charles Huenergardt - true, pulling a HELOC will eat into your cash flow, just need to run the #s to see if it helps you accomplish your goals and increase your overall cash flow.
