I am taking a trip to KS the 2nd week in August to look at KC area.

Planning to take a trip to Hawaii to take a look at the rental property there in a few month, Would like to learn about anyone who has experience in the Hawaii rental property?

So far, I am batting 1.000 :) I spent months scanning the MLS, analyzing deals, making offers, and making trips to Galveston from Houston.

If they want to pay in cash and you give them a receipt then continue on.I have several that pay via money order, my only issue is I have to make multiple trips to that property (it's a 4plex) to get money orders because they never seem to pay the same day. 

This includes travel, lodging, food during your trip, repairs, etc related to your business.

My wife and I live in the Moss bluff/Lake Charles area but take frequent weekend trips down to Houston where the majority of our family lives.
