Introducing myself_Starting out in Real Estate Investing

I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! I joined biggerpockets about two weeks ago and just wanted to introduce myself. I am very much at the beginning of my real estate investment journey, but it seems that this community is a great place to build some relationships with likeminded people!

A little about myself: I am currently serving on Active duty and am stationed in Ft. Johnson (previously Ft. Polk) Louisiana. My wife and I live in the Moss bluff/Lake Charles area but take frequent weekend trips down to Houston where the majority of our family lives. We have a goofy golden retriever and a baby on the way. My wife recently changed careers from a teacher to a real estate agent while we live here in Loisiana.

Along with all these life changes, I have been looking towards the next chapter outside of the military. I have been educating myself on the side of real estate investing, and have been obsessed with learning more. Through the military I understand the value of building a team and the importance of being surrounded with the right people. If anyone wants to connect please out! I hope we can all succeed together!

@Doug Spence Thanks for the welcome! Currently trying to narrow down my focus for what strategies and markets would work best for me. There is definitely a lot to take in so I will definitely reach out as I establish my knowledge. I hope to take action soon!
