I recently attended a weekend seminar entitled "Success in Real Estate".

We made about $17k in short term rentals using AirBnB and VRBO - but because it was our own vacation place first and an investment second, we didn't rent it out on the most popular weeks of the year (Xmas, school vacation, long weekends, July 4th, leaf peeper weekends in the fall, etc).

(I know the primary residence obligation states 1 year, but you must move into a VA loan house within 60 days (giving me some leeway) and I can always co-occupy the two (live in new VA owned 4-plex mostly while spending weekends or summers in both).

I'm looking to find a multi-family seller that would entertain this idea to myself and will be giving this a try this weekend hopefully.

Knowing that I spend 175+nights in hotel rooms, would I be able to charge rent to a tenant/friend and pretty much just use it as my mailing address/ have a futon and crash there on select weekends?

The agent was in Vegas this weekend, but to the best of my knowledge that doesn't provide for an adjustment to any deadlines

I started getting interested in real estate investing last year after attending the FortuneBuilders 3-day weekend event in Nashville, but soon got a full-time job afterward and haven't really given the necessary time to pursue my real estate goals since then.  

now that is local- probably drove past your house this weekend. 

I high-tailed it over to find that a supply line under the sink had busted and had been running all weekend.
