One absentee landlord in my university home town ended up with more than a dozen international students living in his 3bdrm house.This is a worst-case scenario but this is ALSO a list of things that I myself have personally seen from FOB international students, who aren't going to be much of a different population from your H-2B visa holders. 

There are plenty of good deals out there but you need to focus on a Specific town/city for at least 3-6 months so you recognize them and act quickly when they come up. 

Think ski towns, surf towns, climbing towns, etc.
