Hi Guys, Need some help.I own a condo and a triplex (both put down 20 percent in December 2021)They are both on variable interest (which was a terrible move looking back now as both monthly payments have gone up by at least $1000.I work in real estate as a project manager for renovations on apartment units.How do i make real estate investing (on my own) or another career path in real estate an option as i want to work for myself.I am from canada and would love to learn more on analyzing properties, tax strategies etc.thanks

If you're owner-occupying there will be many options available to you.  

You might even have some traditional lending options depending on how your tax returns look.  

But I hate owning people money, paying interest, and paying rent, even when it’s the smarter play.

Depending on location and amenities it should be clear what the superior option once you have all the data in front of you.3.

Ask yourself "Would I still buy this property if cost segregation wasn't an option?"

Then I have the option to engage the attorney to appeal the tax and only pay if they succeed to reduce the assessment based on a percentage of the reduction.

I think its a solid option to start your investing journey as long as the math works for you.

Perhaps you're referring to the section 17-101 (I 1-6) which states "engaging regularly in a business of dealing in real estate or leases or options on real estate."
