Do I need to set up a business and get a LLC?

I initially thought about a 15 year to pay off the loan faster, but have been told that's the wrong approach- Would you recommend buying under an LLC?

New realtor, new LLC, 695 is an ok / average credit score to a lender.  

Here are my questions: -Is an LLC necessary for this kind of situation?
