It costs roughly $1800, but should have reliable answers to the questions you have.

Mike is right rough area, high crime rate and cheap houses and yes you can get burned as I did in the beginning.  

@Max Tanenbaum  This property is in the Far Northeast. the cash flow is roughly what I pay in rent now however I plan on using the cash flow to fund additional down payments for more properties.
