I found Foremost, who would take new clients with a loss history, but they are not able to insure a condo policy.I also tried working with insurance agents but have not been successful so far.If anyone has a recommendation for a great agent or an insurance company, I would greatly appreciate it.

You can keep trying to market it by yourself, or if you are willing to pay someone to manage the property full-time or even have a property management company get you some tenants and you take it over from there, it just depends on your time and money and what you value you more. 

I say that if you're going to invest out of state then you need some handyman/contracts or even property management company in that area.

In the event of an insured loss, minor issues will generally be disbursed to the borrower, major losses can end up going to the first mortgage lender leaving the borrower with a property and a second note holder with a damaged property as collateral.
