@Blake Dailey Interesting, you always kind of hear about how it needs to be on the beach or have a beach view, but didn't realize off the beach did well enough to justify the look.

That justifies 100-200 new homes maybe.

If you justify it because of some saintly reason, you are full of fudge.

It’s pathetic  If someone cold calls you and you tell them not to call again and they refuse to follow your guidance perhaps filing a complaint is justified.

Until either the rents come up to justify the building costs, cost of material, energy and labor go down or cost restrictive codes are changed, it will be hard to make quick money on building brand new houses (even small).Brand new housing behaves like brand new cars. 

Any return on investment from this 4th property would need to be high enough to offset the additional cost of capital from increased interest rates to justify it from an investment perspective. 

The point is that the absence of an explicit rule is not a legal or reasonable way to justify behavior.
