Yes, it may last 50 years, but will even still own the property then (you likely dont need that level of workmanship).An option could be to do the work in sections.

Unscrupulous tenants have been known to turn on appliances and leave them running, turn on faucets and leave them running, turn on lights and leave them running, turn up the heat and leave it running, remove smoke detectors, unleash pests (insects/rodents/etc) in the property, and worse.Fifth, see if your situation meets the criteria for abandonment, for your jurisdiction.

And yes, I feel fine about the rehab/flip.....it's turning around and selling it as is for profit without putting any money into it that makes me feel nervous.

If you know all of that information and you are just nervous about the conversation or making an offer... this is where the rubber meets the road.... pick up the phone and tell the real estate agent that you would like to make an offer on the house.
