NEW INVESTOR IN CHARLOTTE NC

Hey BP community !!

just moved to Charlotte, NC where i grew up.  Always wanted to get into RE here as i love my home city and now that i"ve moved back, i've hit the ground running.  After listening to and reading all about RE investing, i'm getting ready to aquire door #1.  exciting and nervous all at the same time.  My questions for the forum are the following and any comments or insight is appreciated

1- grabbing properties with partners to limit downside and be able to acquire more units.  Any legal formation docs or advice on structuring floating around?

2- setting up the LLC and structuring to limit overall liability. Does anyone have a good attorney that is reasonable and can provide guidance and draft documents for an inexpensive amount. i know you get what you pay for but trying to keep things as lean as possible.

3-how do you move the property and mortgage into the LLC to protect from liabilty

4- lining up with a handyman that rather than paying for his time and service i am offering 1-2%equity.  Am i crazy as most folks i've spoken with have never done this.  thoughts?

thats all i have for now.  excited to be part of the community and if anyone is in Charlotte (south) and wants to meet up, please let me know
