We absolutely love it so far as we are true city people and enjoy having many of these conveniences near us in walking distance and also frequent Hoboken, JC, and Manhattan on a  regular basis.

great idea, I know in maryland if you are living in the property you can discriminate up to some extent on who you live with (m/f, etc etc).I would just be really selective with the tenants and set the price high as long as you can justify with amenities/features.should be a great way to offset your mortgage in the meantime.I'd look into AirBnb....you get much higher rental rates and the biggest trouble is the maintenance, having to meet guests for keys, going to clean constantly.....but if you literally live upstairs, it should be pretty convenient....love to hear how that goes...
