My concern is whether it is common for banks to have clauses in a HELOC product that will allow them to stop the draw period at any time due to discontent in dropping housing values.

The longest I've had an REO in escrow was started Dec 2012, stayed in throughout 2013, finally closed in January 2014 - but this is not normal and doesn't happen all the time.It is common for title work to have some challenges.

@Ted DavisYour wife may be entitled to the home office deduction if she uses the area regularly and exclusively for her business.Items that go into the deduction are rent(depreciation, mortgage interest, home insurance, real estate taxes if you own), utilities, etc to calculate the home office deduction.It can be a big deduction so many sure your accountant factors that in.
