That being the case, I'm going to start by wholesaling.I've checked out the local REIAs and will attend a few before I join (I've heard horror stories about some, so I want to make sure they're clubs that fit my needs) and network as much as possible, build up a buyers' list while I'm looking for deals - I've probably looked at 65 houses and can pretty much tell you what homes go for in a particular area when I hear or see the address.Once I move, I can look at buying properties to rehab and/or hold.

As a side note, I wonder if it's possible to PREVENT the banks agent to attend the auction and bid some ridiculous low figure like $100?

I plan on attending clubs in Walnut Creek and San Ramon this next week.

In addition to all the great suggestions, you could attend and even get a booth at some large RE investing events to market the property.

Have you attended any of the local meetings in the area?

Now im going to be attending school in Orlando.

See if there is a local REIA in the area and check with investors and lawyers who attend the meetings.

There's an auction Dec 3 that I am interested in attending - need to go just to observe & learn - but there are a couple of properties that my husband & I are interested in.Just want to make sure I know everything before I get there.
