So I came to the realization I didn't want to invest into a property in that area that would tie me there or cause me to return to it.While I was coming to this realization, I was also forming a new goal outside of real estate investing and that was traveling.My new goal is to use the money I was putting towards a down payment of a property towards traveling abroad for a year or so.

Now I havent heard of anything, the home my husband and I live in is owned solely by my husband, and I have an apartment that I rent 5 hours away from home as I work out of town and cannot travel every day.

If I did not get a chance to travel extensively ( writing this from Singapore and in Thailand next week) like I do I would have been out of here long ago.. granted 3 months of summer is nice the rest well it just sucks.. but thats a Californian view point..

Not only do you have eviction pressure, the tenant has the same pressure to do well by you because he not only doesn't want to get evicted, he doesn't want word to travel back to the company that he's a lousy tenant that disrespects his colleagues.That being said, how closely do you work with this colleague?
