This may be a soft pull on your credit, but it's worth it (in my opinion) to determine that question. 

Has anyone worked with a public adjuster on Long Island (Nassau County or Suffolk County) or in the New York City area to help with an insurance claim? 

I just need to get my foot on the bottom rung of the ladder. 

And, yes, I've paid that on properties I ended up not buying.

Its a 2-unit property on Airbnb. 

Lease clearly stated no illegal business and I'm pretty sure he won't be able to pay rent without the additional cashflow he had coming in.Tenant actually put the house address on a website for rub & tugs (rubmaps.ch)- that we are trying to get removed. 

But I also know it might be a risk throwing something like this on him.
