The thing is, of my 9 units, this is EASILY my best tenant, and while ideally we as landlords should try and do our best at fixing problems regardless of which tenant it is, human nature will lead us to treat out best tenants a little better...I didn't want to let them down...they're always early with the rent, and are spotless housekeepers.

Which also means that the homeless veterans will not have 'previous rental history' for you to verify.At the end of the day all I am saying is that they (section 8 & VA-SH recipients) are still human beings and for anyone to say that they 'heard horror stories' & 'rumors' so they stay away from a federal program designed to help the most vulnerable & veterans in our communities is flat out discrimination by all means.As real estate investors, we are in an amazing position to do something we love, make a lot of money and help other people at the same time.

Have a nother question about my new Section 8 tenant..I was there yesterday to cut the small lawn and check the heater(at least that is what my lease says) Anyway, I go into the basement and it is flooded with 2 inches of human waste..The floor drain backed up and I was lucky to find used tampon applicatiors and some other objects.
