That is the ramification, you may get the county trying to reassess you but you would just explain the situation and they shouldn't.

With all that said, let me now try to help you with your situation. 

Secondly, neither our realtor nor our banker have encountered this situation where the appraiser is dictating what is a shared driveway.

If you have nothing to bring to the table you will find it difficult I always tell folks in this situation is to simply go on e bay you can buy every single guru's written materials and tapes for 20 to 50 bucks each guru.. listen to all of those read them all.. then slice and dice and see what fits your personality.no one ever said real estate is easy.. takes no money and will just fall in your lap.. its the polar opposite.. 

I'm currently working on my credit situation but did not want to pass on this opportunity. 

I've seen multiple situations where only a portion of the units are allowed to be rented out (ie 30%) and the rest must be owner occupied.
