I run the water until it gets really hot, and then place a dial thermometer with numbers on the dial into the stream of water (the thermometer is one of those instant read meat thermometers, not some infr-red device).

If I find a lower interest rate/better terms with bank B after I lock the interest rate with bank A, can I go to closing with bank B or am I obligated to do it with bank A ?

If signal wires are already dangling for the remote device, then almost anybody can hook it up.I think the water company will do this as part of getting you service; after all, they won't get paid for water if you can't get it.

It will run out your buyer's lock on an interest rate, but they could apply later too and close within 90 days.Good luck....
