I just received a court date for a money judgement complaint for non payment of rent. i had filed in October when my tenant was behind by two months.

This tenant has agreed to vacate, do a final walkthrough on 1/31/2022 and hand hand over the keys.Today, 1/30/2022, they emailed and said they aren’t moving and to go to the courts to file for a legal eviction.The building is unsafe and we need to do repairs.

It has been done before so I intend to do just that, serve my country and build financial freedom.I cannot build this on my own, if your in the DMV area I would love to connect, ask questions, and build meaningful relationships.

I know South Carolina has heavy court involvement in the disposition of property within an estate, precluding much liberty a PR might otherwise have.

@Dan Deng - It's sometimes difficult to find a CPA who both specializes in real estate and is located close to you in Ann Arbor.There are lots of good CPAs and Enrolled Agents on Bigger Pockets who work remotely and have clients all over the country.

you go to your local county court house on the 1st Tuesday of every month.

The courts will then notify the tenant of a court date at least 6 days in the future.
