While I'd like to say that the renovation gets the credit for those types of comments, the renovation makes the house look like every other rehabbed house in the neighborhood, which presumably these buyers have looked at as well -- but they didn't seem to fall in love with those houses.My take on this is two-fold:1.

If you would like to repeat something anyone here has said in public, adapting it to a conversation as a comment, that's one thing, using common knowledge to express your position or point of view, to some extent.

While I couldn't comment on the VA loan to purchase a 4plex, your comment about College Station not having any inventory is not true (have not looked at multi-families however).

Any other additional comments regarding the closing on this?

The reason the comment about contacting the bank seemed funny is basically that large banks notoriously have terrible communication skills in these matters.
