Howdy Kyle, For a great overview of the process, I highly recommend Matt Faircloth's book, "Raising Private Capital" because he'll give you a way to organize your thinking about, and approach to soliciting, other people's money.

There's no product that's going to make that stuff just disintegrate into nothing; if you've ever seen it, it's essentially a big pipe-shaped (if in the pipe) mass of organic matter.
